The choice between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as a cross-docking hub is primarily a function of supplier geography. Importers sourcing predominantly from northern Vietnam's manufacturing clusters—including the electronics-heavy provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Phong—will typically route through Hanoi and Noi Bai Airport. Those sourcing from the southern industrial zones around Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai will find Ho Chi Minh City more efficient.
